Fast and Furious 8: Scott Eastwood sostituirà Paul Walker

Scott Eastwood, figlio del leggendario attore e regista Clint Eastwood, sarà uno dei protagonisti dell'ottavo film della saga "Fast & Furious".

It's hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious. To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It’s a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can’t wait to join it. Now I can’t say too much, but I get to play a new character who operates under Kurt Russell in the movie, which is incredible, because Kurt was a total childhood hero of mine growing up. Very much looking forward to learning a thing or two from such an original and cool guy. Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul’s story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true. Gary Gray and Neal Moritz - I can’t wait to get started and dive in. Vin - thank you for the support and the insight. Paul - I am going to make you proud. #F8

«È difficile far capire a parole quanto io sia emozionato per il prossimo Fast & Furious. Per me è molto più che un franchise. Tutti questi grandissimi attori hanno lavorato insieme così a lungo da diventare una famiglia. E non vedo l'ora di farne parte. Per il momento non posso dire molto. Il mio sarà un nuovo personaggio che lavorerà per Kurt Russell. E la cosa incredibile è che Kurt è stato un eroe per me fin da quando ero piccolo.»

Eastwood dedica un ricordo a Paul Walker, protagonista della saga morto nel 2013: «Paul era un mio amico stretto. Abbiamo fatto surf insieme, siamo andati in giro per il mondo ed è sempre stato un modello da seguire, che mi ha influenzato molto quando ero più giovane. Ancora adesso, veramente. Per me era come un fratello maggiore. Paul, ti renderò orgoglioso di me!».

"Fast & Furious 8" uscirà nelle sale nell'aprile del 2017 e rappresenta per il giovane Scott, 30 anni, un vero e proprio trampolino di lancio per la sua carriera iniziata interpretando ruoli in alcuni film diretti dal padre («Flags of our Fathers», «Gran Torino» e «Invictus»). Il giovane attore è stato inoltre protagonista nel 2015 di «La risposta è nelle stelle», tratto dall'omonimo romanzo di Nicholas Sparks.

Scott sarà affiancato in Fast & Furious 8 da un "super cast" composto, oltre a Vin Diesel e agli storici protagonisti, da Charlize Theron e Kurt Russell.
